Crafting Your Personal Message

With every request to add a personalized message, our team puts a lot of thoughts, time and heart to insure that your special moccasins are crafted perfectly with your little one in mind. Since every message is different, and so is the selection of choice of color and character placement. We first cut a veg tan leather (leather that has not been color treated) to fit on the back of the moccasins. We prep by damping it lightly with water, so we can initiate to hand stamp each character at a time with a single hand pressed device. We then allow complete drying time, so we can airbrush. Airbrushing leather is not simple, because we have to articulate by selecting complimenting tones and pigments for outer edge verses inner part of the stamp to match the color of the moccasins. In addition, different  color dimensions is required to make message legible. last but not least, we measure precisely the moccs and make holes through the leather on back of moccs to place finished message and secure with rivets. 

As you see, adding a personalized message to your MishMoccs, is not a mass produced application. instead, it is always one message, one customer and one child at a time. We want YOU, our customer to learn and appreciate the craftsmanship and kind touch that is put forth to help create your beautiful and very unique pair of moccasins. Our craft and special touch allows us to offer a memorable gift, that can be kept as a family heirloom.

- This special request was for a new child who had both of his great grand parents serve in the Korean War, and you can see both of their initials were added. However, what made this request more special, that both MishMoccs team members, Michael, a 40 year veteran who served in the Vietnam War, did the cutting of the leather of the moccs and the message. And Chad a veteran who served with the U.S. Marine Corps 2 terms in the Gulf War, completed the stamped message per customer request. For certain, this pair of moccs will always be cherished by the family, such a sentiment!
